Informationen
Crying Vessel is Slade Templeton, who with drummer and right hand man Basil, are beginning to make waves in the alternative dark rock scene. Coming from Trip Hop roots on the past 3 albums Crying Vessel has always hinted at love for the 80s and the Post Punk-era sounds. The new album, ‘A Beautiful Curse’ embodies an unashamedly dark 80s vibe, while remaining contemporary and stunningly creative. The album is a continuation of the hugely successful first EP, ‘Killing Time’ and due for international physical and digital release on October 13th 2017 from Manic Depression Records (Paris France).
Visions in Clouds originated in 2015 when drummer Simon Schurtenberger and guitarist/vocalist Pascal Zeder shelved their pop music projects in favor of a more genuine expression. Bassist Philipp Bracher and guitarist Claudio Scodeller joined their ranks soon after, and the band cut their first studio-length album before performing throughout Switzerland. In early 2017, a guitarist from the U.S. named Leopold Oakes replaced Bracher as bassist. Owing to his previous experiences, Oakes’ frenetic downstrokes became a key component of their sound. Furthermore, a newfound synergy between bandmates helped them build momentum in the months to follow, eventually culminating in their definitive sophomore release. Identity and isolation are recurring themes in VIC’s music. Their songs resonate not only with the disenfranchised youth of today, but anyone who has longed for meaning. From the distance in their concepts, you can sense a shapeless truth that is somehow more substantial for being so serenely veiled. Following the release of levée en masse, Visions in Clouds will continue to perform at new locations while spending more time in the studio for upcoming releases.
